３月１０日(水) ２００５
天気、曇り、のち晴れ。気温１２度。今日はミントの日。私は客待ちのタクシーの列に並んでいたときに、ラジオからそれを聞いた。なぜだ？ラジオによると、３月１０日の３と１０がミントと読めるからだ。本当か！そんなのでよいのか？ ６０年前の今日、３月１０日、アメリカによる攻撃（関東大空襲）、数え切れない爆弾が東京に落とされた。２時間の空襲で約１０万もの人々があっという間に死んだ。それはとても悲しい歴史である。戦争はいらない！ 皆、何時の時代も平和を求めている。現在、多分、東京は幸せな都市だ。そして日本は幸せな国だ。私も幸せなのだ。そんなことを考えた。あぁ・・私の給料日はまだ遠い・・・・。売り上げ４６，０００円。私は眠い・・それではまた・・・おやすみ・・・。

The weather was cloudy and after it was fine. The temperature was 12 degrees ℃. The Mint Day was today. I heard it by the radio when I was waiting for clients in a taxi queue. Why? The radio said, it can be call as Mint by 3 and 10. Oh! Such? 10th of March: 60 years ago, a lot of bombs were dropped to Tokyo by the U.S Army. As for that, about 10,000 people died of the attack of 2 hours. It is a sad history. No, war! We want peace in all ages. Now, maybe there is a happy town of Tokyo, and a happy country of Japan. And I am a happy man, too. I thought about that. Oh! My payday was still far. I made 46,000 yen. I was sleepy. … See you next. … Good night.
