２月１０日(木) ２００５
天気、晴れ。気温１４度。東京の交通はとてもとても混んでいた。みんな明日から３連休を取るのだ。深夜、上野で中年の夫婦が私を止めた。彼らは酔っている。そして千住にある彼らの家まで行く。私は千住に向かって運転していると、彼らは眠り始めた、二人とも・・。 そして千住に到着した。私は「スイマセン！ 着きましたよ・・・」。彼女はビクッ！と飛び起きた。そして「あ！ごめんなさい、次の角で止めてください、」。私、「はい」。車を角まで移動した。料金３，１６０円。彼女は再び言う。「スイマセン、今、お金ないんです、そこ家だからお金とって来ますから少し待っていてくれますか？」。私「わかりました」。彼女は家に駆け込んでいった。男、彼女の夫はまだバックシートで寝ていた。現在、この寝ている酔っぱらいは３，１６０円である。おそらく彼女以外、誰も彼を買わない・・・。 気温はめっきり下がった。雪だ！ 雪がちらついていた。売り上げ５０，０００円。

The weather was fine and the temperature was 14 degrees ℃. The traffics of Tokyo were very, very jammed. Everybody will get three running holidays, it will start from tomorrow. At midnight, I middle age couple hailed my cab in Ueno. They were dunk and went to their home in Senjyu. I was driving towards Senjyu and they started sleeping. Finally, we arrived and I said, “Excuse me. We arrived at … “ The woman jumped out and woke up from the seat. She said, “Oh! Sorry, um, please stop at next corner.” I said, “Okay.” I moved the car at the corner, that fare was 3,160 yen. Then she said again, “I’m sorry. We have no money; I will get my money from my home. Wait a few minutes.” I said, “Yeah, right.” She rushed went their house. Then the man who was her husband was still sleeping. Now, the sleeping man was 3,160 yen. Nobody will buy him except his wife. The temperature dropped then it lit snowed falls. I made 50,000 yen.
