８月７日 （土）２００４
私はいつものように会社に行った。会社が言うには“今月のあなたの勤務時間を調整したところ、今日は時短になるので乗っても１２時間までになります”。私は驚きながらそれを聞いた。私はまじめに良く働く。しかし会社は勤務時間をカットしろと言う。しかし毎月の給料は安い・・・誰が悪い？・・・。天気は晴れ、気温３２度。 私は青山通りを走る。時速５０キロの道である。私はスピードメーターを見た“５０キロ”を差している。ピッタリだ！そのとき白バイが私を追い越して行った、おっ！それはスピード違反である。 次に表参道の交差点を通過した。そのとき私は見た、パトカーが赤い舗装の道路に止まっている。赤い舗装の道は駐停車禁止ゾーンである。おっ！それは駐車違反である。私は思う。警察を捕まえる警察はいないか？ 交通違反はけっしてなくならない。なぜなら警察が率先して違反をするからだ。渋谷は人で溢れている。そして渋谷の道は駐車違反の車で溢れている。売り上げ１９，０００円。私は午後６時に仕事を終えた。

I went to my company as usual. The company said, “Your work shift is 12 hours today due to the result of our record of your working hours this month.” I heard it with surprise. “Oh!” I worked well but the company said, “You must cut down your work time.” But my salary is low every month. Who is bad? The weather was fine and the temperature was 32 degrees ℃. I was driving along Aoyama Street. The speed limited on this road is 50 kilometers an hour. I looked at the speedometer that showed 50 kilometers. Good! Then a police motorcycle passed me. “Oh!” That was a violation of the speeding. Next I passed through Omotesandou Crossing, then I saw a police car stopped on the red painted part of the road. The red road is a no parking zone. “Oh!” That was a violation of the parking. I thought aren’t the police catching the police? I wondered. The violation of traffic regulations is never lost because the police break their own regulations. People crowded Shibuya and cars violating parking overflowed on the roads of Shibuya. I made 19,000 yen. I finished work at 6PM.
